Synopsis 

2007 marks the 50th anniversary of the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. As one of nine African- American students who entered the all-white Central High in 1957, Melba Pattillo Beals was on the front lines of the fight for equal education.

Photo: Rosemary RyanIn collaboration with award winning playwright Eisa Davis, Cornerstone is proud to present the world premiere stage adaptation of Ms. Beals' memoir, Warriors Don't Cry, for thousands of middle and high school students across Los Angeles. Ensemble actress Bahni Turpin and director Juliette Carrillo will immerse students in the searing struggle that the ?Little Rock Nine? endured to claim their right to equal access of education.
