Biography
SCOTT HORSTEIN (Manager of Play Development) has dramaturged Farewell to Manzanar, A Long Bridge Over Deep Waters, As Vishnu Dreams and Center of the Star for Cornerstone. He has served as Literary Director at the Black Dahlia Theatre, and has dramaturged the premiers of Theater District, Angry, and Ragged Time. Freelance production dramaturg credits include Finn in the Underworld (Berkeley Rep); The Philanderer (Oregon Shakespeare Festival); Resurrection Blues (with Arthur Miller), Pentecost, Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Orson's Shadow (Old Globe); What I Heard About Iraq (Fountain Theatre); Danny Boy (Taper New Works); Slow Falling Bird (Bay Area Playwrights Festival); The Perverse Tongue (MET Theatre); Henry Wants A Renaissance (Playwrights Project); Pentecost (Evidence Room); Human Interest Story, The Final Tour (ASK Writers Retreat); The Misanthrope (Epic Risk); The Gospel at Colonus (Teatro Mascara Magica). Scott was Lecturer in Dramaturgy at UC San Diego from 2003-2005. He has translated Marivaux's The Game of Love and Chance. Member, Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA); MFA in Dramaturgy from UCSD. Scott is the 2004 winner of the LMDA Elliott Hayes Award in Dramaturgy.
