Biography
LYNN JEFFRIES (Designer) is a founding member of the company. In Cornerstone's rural traveling years from 1986 to 1991, she designed both sets and costumes for almost every show, from Our Town in Newport News, VA to the national tour of The Winter's Tale, an Interstate Adventure. She is proud to be the only theatrical designer whose work has been featured on the Norcatur (Kansas) Grain Company Calendar. Since Cornerstone moved to Los Angeles in 1992, Lynn has alternated designing sets and costumes on over twenty Cornerstone productions, and worked in a few regional theaters as well. She has received two Garland Awards, one Dramalogue award, and two Ovation Award nominations. Lynn is also a puppet designer and puppeteer. She has designed puppets for eight Cornerstone productions, including Waking Up in Lost Hills and Mary Shelley's Santa Claus, and for the Mark Taper Forum, In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater, the Guthrie, and a handful of organizations that have since folded, but that's probably just a coincidence. Lynn can occasionally be seen performing short solo shadow plays in bars with the hot new band, The Ditty Bops.
