Synopsis

 

GHURBA is a play by Shishir Kurup based on stories of the Arab experience in Los Angeles, told through interviews with local residents citywide; an event of the Los Angeles Festival. Arab-Americans, Los Angeles (population: 250,000) 
--Produced with members of the Arab-American community at UCLA as an event at the Los Angeles Festival, Ghurba included languages, songs, rituals and even food from the many homelands of the participants.
