A Bridge Show is a production that combines community members and artists from a cycle or group of productions to create a new, cross-community production. After a series of residency projects, community participants from each show come together across community lines to create a culminating production. All artists on Bridge Shows are compensated on a professional basis, and admission is also pay-what-you-can.
The Bridge Show often deals with issues common to the various communities represented, and it is either toured back to all the constituent communities or produced in a location accessible to all those communities.
Examples of Bridge Shows include LA BUILDING, THE CENTRAL AVE. CHALK CIRCLE, BROKEN HEARTS, or A LONG BRIDGE OVER DEEP WATERS.
The very first Bridge Show was THE WINTER'S TALE: AN INTERSTATE ADVENTURE.
