LA VIDA LOCA: GANG DAYS IN L.A.

2005

LOS ANGELES CENTRAL LIBRARY

Written By

Novel by Luis J. Rodriguez

Stage Adaptation by Jose Cruz Gonzalez

Synopsis

Luis J. Rodriguez's memoir of L.A. gang life played to student groups at the L.A. Central Library. Ensemble actor Jonathan Del Arco and director Mark Valdez brought José Cruz González's script to life once again for thousands of students. Post-show discussions and writing exercises allowed students to connect events from the play with their own experiences. The play was remounted for audiences at the Ivar Theater November 4-15, 2005, and again at the Library in 2006.
